Hi everyone, I'm Kayla and I'm thrilled to be your NSSLHA President this year! I’m a junior from SoCal on the SLP track. Some fun facts about me are that I love arts n' crafts and my favorite food is sushi! I also enjoy scrapbooking during my free time. I am so honored to lead NSSLHA alongside this special team of officers and I'm beyond excited to work on creating an enriched experience for all members on their way to success!

Hi guys! My name is Skylar and I'm so excited to be the VP of NSSLHA this year. I’m a senior from Austin, TX and I'm on the SLP track. My hobbies include crocheting, cooking, and trying new restaurants. In my spare time you can usually find me binge watching a new show with my boyfriend. I'm super excited to be a leader in NSSLHA this year and help foster an environment of support, friendship, and growth both personally and pre-professionally.

Hi everyone! My name is Keely and I am super excited to be the Secretary this year for NSSLHA! I am a Senior this year and I am from the Houston area. I am currently on the SLP track! I also play ultimate frisbee and love to read in my free time. I am super excited to be a leader for this organization alongside a wonderful leadership team! I am excited to create a positive networking environment and provide a support system for our future speechies!

Hi everyone, I’m Rebeccah Szeto and I’m excited to be your NSSLHA Fundraising officer this year! I’m a senior in the SLP track. I transferred to UH last year from Lone Star College! I love painting, watching the sunset, and traveling! I’m thrilled to lead NSSLHA with these amazing team of officers and see the organization grow this year.

Hey! I'm Fatima and I'm beyond excited to be your NSSLHA Volunteer officer this year! I’m a junior on the SLP track. Some fun facts about me are that I love music and theatre so you’ll always catch me at live events and I am a dog mom of 3 spoiled babies who I talk about all the time. I am so honored to be the NSSLHA volunteer officer and I'm beyond excited to bring amazing volunteer opportunities to everyone. It’s all about humanity and giving back!

Hey y’all, I’m Angelina! I’m your Social Officer for this upcoming year, and I’m looking forward to all of the events we’ll experience together! I’m currently a Sophomore and heading into my second year of being a NSSLHA member. NSSLHA has led me to so many amazing friendships and connections, and I can’t wait to be able to provide that opportunity for everyone else!
Deanna Rojas
Peer Mentoring Officer
Hi everyone! I’m Deanna and I’m honored to be your Peer Mentor Officer this year! I am a senior on the SLP track. I transferred to UH last year, I had lived in San Antonio for three years, but I am originally from Chicago! I love to travel and in my free time I enjoy sightseeing and painting. I am excited to be a part of this year’s team of officers as we work to support all NSSLHA members on their professional journeys. I hope to grow the Peer Mentorship program so that we can all learn from each other while participating in some fun events!

Dr. Michelle Ivey
Dr. Ivey is an extremely passionate and gifted speech-language pathologist and UH COMD faculty member who advises over the officer teams each year for the UH Chapter of NSSLHA. She has contributed to the development and involvement of UH NSSLHA within the COMD department in many ways for 9 years! We could never thank her enough for her unwavering dedication and passion in helping this organization grow!
